Our Unit History
Early in the War of 1812, it became apparent that the existing militia system was woefully inadequate for the defense of Upper Canada. To rectify this situation, the Legislative Assembly of Upper Canada passed an Act creating the Incorporated Militia of Upper Canada. Battle of York - Old Fort York, 2019
A group of our officers and NCOs attended The School of the Soldier at Fort York this past Saturday. On Sunday other members of IMUC arrived for a much needed drill session to work out the winter kinks! With the season just around the corner and after weather cancelled drills, we finally were able to get together in the sunshine and go over the manual of arms!
Stripes were awarded to our two new Chosenmen , Joe Deschamps and Ian Andresen !
