Early in the War of 1812, it became apparent that the existing militia system was woefully inadequate for the defense of Upper Canada. Fanshawe Village 2019
A small band of IMUC participated in the "land and sea" event this past weekend at Fanshawe Village near London Ontario. Infantry from several regiments supported the Royal Artillery and ships of The Royal Navy in the village, on the shore and on the water.
