Battle of New Orleans – 2020
On the weekend of Jan 11 & 12, St Bernard’s Parish hosted the Battle of New Orleans 2020. Two of our members were able to attend and they made up 20% of the redcoats attending! Though small in numbers, the re-enactors in Louisiana accomplished might things! Over 2000 students attended on the Friday despite rain that ended up flooding out the tentage and site on Saturday. The local authorities and organizers spared nothing in their welcome to the forces on both sides. Meals, firewood, parking, adult beverages, comradery all lived up to Parish standards!
