Early in the War of 1812, it became apparent that the existing militia system was woefully inadequate for the defense of Upper Canada. Remembrance Day Old Fort York Commons, Nov 11, 2017
Once again the members of IMUC, IMAC and the Campfollowers joined the Fort York staff and volunteers and the Daughters of the Imperial Order of the Empire to commemorate Remembrance Day at Old Fort York. The Fort Ceremony is always well attended by the public. Having the WWII Harvards fly over added to the solemnity of the occasion.
