I saw your web site and it was very interesting. I am looking for any one who can help me find out what the uniform would have looked like for an Private in the Flank Company of the 2nd Leeds from 1812-1814. My ancestors who served in this unit were: Archelaus K. Farnham who was wounded at Gananoque, John Sly who was wounded and James Halladay (Hallada). I Would like to also find out what other engagements the 2nd Leeds took part in. Any help would be greatly appreciated Joseph Peck

Paul, Greetings!. You certainly DO have a SUPERB Web Site!. My 1st visit ... and your group looks like they are VERY active within the GTA. Just thought that I would also mention the following item of potential interest to certain of your "site visitors". A group which I represent here in Montreal is investigating the possibilities of establishing by 2002, an initial 10 - 12 person Volunteer re-enactment Squad portraying members of a "Grenadier Company", of an 1812-1814 "British Regiment of Foot". If you, or any fellow 1812 re-enactors, know of any individuals, in and around the Montreal area, who "might" be interested and available Recruits... then we just may have a very exciting Historical "Hobby" opportunity for them!. We DO have Drill facilities and are planning to have access to a Historical Fort site, allready established with an early 19th Century decor!. For anyone interested (and ideally experienced..), kindly drop me an e-mail, and let me know how you might contribute to a new "fun and aspiring" group of 1812 re-enactors!. In the meantime, my best regards to all within "The Incorporated Milita of Upper Canada"!!. Bob McLachlan

Great site Paul! Sitting here just 2 minutes away from the actual site where Wellington defeated Napoleon 183 years ago, your site takes on even more meaning. Get over here soon and climb 'The Butte de Lion'
