The Battle of Backus Mill - Sept. 9 & 10, 2006
Port Rowan, Ontario
Each year the Incorporated Militia of Upper Canada participates in the Norfolk Militia sponsored Battle of Backus Mill. To enable the Norfolk to participate as a redcoated unit we don our American greys. On Sunday we switched back to redcoat so that the opposing sides would be more even.
Once again we would like to thank the Norfolk Militia, The Backus Mill Conservation Authority and all the volunteers and staff that made this yet again a very successful event. This "gem" of an event grows better each year! The Incorporated Militia would also like to thank Richard Feltoe for his lively commentary during the two main battles!
