August 12th through 14th, 2005 - McArthur's Raid on Grand River

A Re-enactment of the U.S. General Duncan McArthur's raid on the Grand River during the War of 1812. Known as the Grand River Skirmish and the burning of Malcolm's Mill. 1812 re-enactment units representing the American, Crown Forces of Upper Canada and Native Allies were present at the village for the weekend of August 13 and 14.
The Incorporated Militia portrayed US forces for the weekend. The Norfolk Militia and the Glengarry Light Infantry portrayed the British/Canadian forces along with the Loyal Native Allies.
